The Home Page is the first screen you land on after signing in to TeamGenius. It is officially called the Manage Assessments page, and it acts as the command center for your entire organization. From here you can see every evaluation you are running, jump into any assessment workspace, create a brand-new assessment, and reach the tools for your players, teams, and account settings. This guide gives you a tour of everything on the Home Page and what each part does.
How to Get to the Home Page
No matter where you are in TeamGenius, click the Bolt icon (the lightning-bolt logo) in the top-left corner of the screen to return to the Home Page at any time. You can also click Assessments in the top navigation bar.
The Two Tabs: Assessments and Create New
Just under the Manage Assessments heading you will see two tabs. The Assessments tab shows the list of evaluations you have already built. The Create New tab is where you start a new assessment by picking a template or a blank layout. For the full walkthrough of building one, see the Create a New Assessment guide.
Your Assessment List
The center of the page lists each active assessment on its own row. Every row shows the assessment name, the date it was created, and its type (Tryout, Team - replaced our old Coach assessment type, or Athlete Load Monitoring). A colored status dot on the left tells you at a glance whether the assessment is in progress or complete.
Quick-Action Icons on Each Row
To the right of each assessment name is a set of shortcut icons that jump straight to the most-used areas of that assessment: Players, Check-in, Results, Emails, and Reports. Use these when you want to jump directly to a task without opening the full workspace first.
The Access Key
Each row also displays a short Access Key code (for example, WS87F). This is the code your evaluators enter on their phones or at go.teamgenius.com to reach the correct assessment. Keep it handy when preparing your evaluation team.
The Three-Dot Menu
At the far right of each row are three gold dots. Clicking them opens a menu with Change Assessment Type, Clone Assessment, and Archive Assessment. For details on each of these, see the Manage an Assessment guide.
Search and the Active / Archived Toggle
Above the list is a Search box for finding an assessment by name, plus an Active / Archived toggle. Active shows your current assessments; switch to Archived to see events you have tucked away. Archiving never deletes data, so your history is always safe.
The Schedule Panel
On the right side of the Home Page is a calendar panel showing your upcoming evaluation sessions by date. Use the arrows to move between days and see which sessions belong to which assessment.
The New Season Banner
When it is time to start fresh, a yellow banner near the top invites you to begin a new season. Clicking it walks you through archiving last year's players and preparing a clean roster. For the full process, see the Start a New Season in TeamGenius guide.
The Top Navigation Bar
Across the very top are the organization-wide menus: Assessments, Players, Teams, and Settings. These take you to your full player roster, team and coach management, and your organization settings, no matter which assessment you are working in.
Getting Help
The Help widget in the lower-right corner opens the Help Center and lets you contact support if you get stuck. You can also email help@teamgenius.com for support.
